Breed Details

General

The Hug is a hybrid of a purebred Siberian Husky and a purebred Pug. They are called hybrids due to their origination from two different pure breeds.

These dogs are medium in size. They have features and characteristics of both parent breeds. These dogs are alert, cheerful and loving to their family.

Color

The Hug can have different colours like black, gray, red, silver and white or a mix of these colours.

Coat

They can have long and thick coat of a Siberian Husky or a long and fine coat of a Pug.

Personality

The Pug dogs are generally friendly, loving and loyal to their family. They are affectionate and loving dogs that are good with children. The Pug can be willful and single-minded if not properly trained from puppyhood. They would need firm and consistent obedience training from start. These dogs are alert to their surroundings and will make very good watch dogs. With proper training, these dogs are great family pets.

Care

They are generally good with children but supervision is necessary when they are around children.

Training

They are intelligent dogs but stubborn at the same time. They may not be as easy to train as some other dogs and will require positive reinforcement training program.

Activity

These dogs like to go out on walk and running. The Hug would need long walks and playtime to keep in shape and fit.
