General
The Italian Bichon is a mix between an Italian Greyhound and a Bichon Frise purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds.
The Italian Bichon is a small dog, standing not more than 15 inches and weighing around 18 pounds. These dogs are alert, cheerful and intelligent dogs.
Color
The Italian Bichon is found in different colours that mostly come from the Italian Greyhound parent breed. Common colours for these hybrids are Black, blue, grey, red and white.
Coat
Their coat is fine, shiny and glossy. It is easy to groom.
Personality
The Italian Bichon dog is happy, loving, affectionate and eager to please. They are loyal and friendly dogs that are good with children and other dogs and pets in the family. These dogs love to get attention of their family. They are also very keen to spend most of their time with their family and will not like to be left alone for too long.
These hybrids are easy to train due to their intelligence and eager to please attitude but some dogs of this breed tend to be stubborn and willful specially if the owner is not firm with them. They would need firm yet gentle training to be well-trained.
These dogs are very social and can adjust to any surrounding. They are not aloof of stranger and will get along well with them. However, they are alert and attentive and will signal of something unusual. They are good family pets and companion dogs.
Care
Their coat is low shedding and will need little grooming.
Training
They are generally easy to train but some Italian Bichons can be stubborn and would need a firm but gentle trainer to train them.
Activity
The Italian Bichon dogs are very active and would love to be taken for daily walks. They will also like play time to relieve their energy and keep balance.
