General

The Italian Greyhuahua is a mix between a purebred chihuahua and a purebred Italian Greyhound. They are called designer dogs or hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds.

The Italian Greyhuahua is small in size, standing up to15 inches or lower and weighing a maximum of 18 pounds. Their body is generally resembles to Italian Greyhound but they are chihuahua like stocky. With large rabbit feet and strong, powerful legs, they are very fast runners.

Color

The Italian Greyhuahua dogs exhibit colours of their parent breeds. Common colours for these dogs are black, blue, brown, gray, red, silver and white or a mix of these colours.

Coat

Their coat is short or medium in length. It is soft and silky to touch.

Personality

The Italian Greyhuahua dogs are loving, loyal, intelligent and active dogs. They have expressive face. These dogs are responsive and will respond to commands given to them. These hybrids do not like to be treated harshly. These dogs are good with children and other dogs and pets in the family. They love to spend their time among their family and make great companion dogs. The Italian Greyhuahua dogs are wary of strangers unless properly socialized. They make very good family and companion pets.

Care

The Italian Greyhuahua should be protected from cold weather. Their coat is very easy to maintain.

Training

They are intelligent dogs and will train easily but they would require a patient and gentle trainer to train them.

Activity

These dogs are very active and would need lots of exercise. Daily walk and running opportunities are important for these dogs.
