The Italian Papihound is a cross between an Italian Greyhound and a Papillon purebreds. This mix is called hybrid dogs or designer dogs as they originate from two different pure breeds.
The Italian Papihound is small in size, standing no more than 15 inches and weighing anywhere from 10 to 18 pounds. These hybrids are cheerful, intelligent, social and alert to their surroundings.
The Italian Papihound is found in different parent coat colours. Common colours for these dogs are black, black and tan, blue, brown, red, grey, silver and white or any mix of these colours.
Their coat can be medium to long in length with silky and glossy hair.
The Italian Papihound is a mix between two intelligent parent breeds and this resulting hybrid is also very intelligent, loving, social and eager to please. These dogs are good with children and other dogs and pets in the family. They like to be with their family and enjoy their company. These hybrids make very good companion dogs. The Italian Papihound are intelligent enough to learn new small tricks and can perform. These dogs are very active and lively, they would need lots of exercise to be happy and fit. They are easy to train due to their in-born intelligence and will not pose any problems. These dogs like to run and would ideally love to have spacious house although they can fit into apartment life so long as their exercise needs are fulfilled. The Italian Papihound is small and delicate dog that needs special care when playing with small children as these dogs can easily sustain an injury due to rough handling. They are very good family pets for active families.

They may have a tendency to run after small animals when outside and should not be unleashed unless they are in a secure playing area.

They are very active dogs with high levels of energy. They would need running and playing time besides daily long walk or jog. These dogs can fit into apartment life as long as they are provided with necessary exercise but they ideally are suitable for houses that have a yard for them to play.
