The Jack Chi is a mix of a Jack Russell Terrier and a Chihuahua purebreds. These dogs are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds.

They are small dogs that stand at 15 inches maximum and can weight around 8-18 inches. These hybrids have solid body, fox-like face and pointy or slightly turned-over ears.


The Jack Chi dogs are found in different colours. Common colours are brown, tan, fawn, black and tan, black and brown, tri-colour or white and brown.


Their coat is short and dense that will require brushing with a bristle or sleek brush twice a week.


The Jack Chi dogs are fun-loving, protective and alert dogs that like to be with their family most of the time. These dogs are high energy and will require lots of physical activities. They are ideal for spacious house with a yard to play although can fit into an apartment life if their exercise needs are regularly met. These dogs are playful and affectionate with children. They can get along well with other dogs and pets in the family but do have strong in-built prey hunting instinct. For this reason, they should be leashed when outdoor or they may chase after a small animal like rodent or rat. The Jack Chi dogs can be possessive of their family, toys and territory. They are very good watch dogs that are good for families with small children but not suitable for families that have small pets.


These hybrids are known to run after small animals and should be leashed when outdoor. Their coat require two to three times brushing every week.


These dogs are intelligent and eager to please. This makes them easily trainable.


The Jack Chi dogs are very active and high energy dogs and would need lots of physical and mental stimulation. These dogs would need to be taken for daily long. These dogs would also need running and playing activities.
