The Kobetan is a mix between a purebred Tibetan Terrier and a purebred Cocker Spaniel. They are called hybrid or designer dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds.
The Kobetan dogs are small in size, standing up to 16 inches and weighing around 32 pounds. They are cheerful, loyal and social dogs that love human company. They are found in different colours from black to tan and red with short and fine or long and silky coat.
The Kobetan dogs are found in different colours. Common colours and mixes for these dogs are black, black and tan, brown and red or any mix of these colours.
They can have hair like long and silky coat of a Tibetan Terrier or short and fine coat of a Cocker Spaniel.
The Kobetan dogs are gentle, sensitive, friendly and very loving. These dogs are very good with well behaved children and generally get along well with other dogs and pets in the family but early socialization is important. They are wary of strangers but when properly introduced, soon warmup to them. These dogs are strong and have high energy levels. They are suitable for apartment life as they will not bark unnecessarily. They are very good family pets with proper training and socialization.
The Tibetan Terrier coat needs lots of care and grooming as it will need to be brushed every other day to prevent tangles. The coat should never be brushed when dry. They would need bath every month. The area under eyes needs to be wiped every other day to prevent infection.
These dogs are easily trained provided correct training methods are implied. Some of these dogs may show stubborn behavior but firm training should take care of that. They are trainable to the extend that they can take part in dog sports such as dog agility.
They are high energy dogs and need to run and play besides daily long walks. These hybrids can fit into apartment life if their exercise needs are fulfilled regularly.
