General
The Lha-Cocker is a mix between a Cocker Spaniel and a Lhasa Apso purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds.
The Lha-Cocker dogs are small in size with a maximum height of 15 inches and weight in the region of 15 to 30 pounds. They are loving, affectionate and docile dogs that love to please their owners. These dogs like to get as much attention as they can get. These dogs are high energy and intelligent dogs that need lots of physical and mental stimulation. They are family oriented dogs and want to spend as much time with their family as possible.
Color
They are found in different colors like black, black and tan, brown and white or any mix of these colors.
Coat
They can have long and silky coat of Lhasa Apso or they can have short and rough coat of a Cocker Spaniel.
Personality
The Lha-Cockers are hardy, keen to work and intelligent dogs that are family oriented and love to be around their family. They are very good with children and enjoy spending time playing with them. These dogs are loyal and protective of their family. They are alert and will signal arrival of a stranger. Their cautious approach towards unfamiliar visitors make them very good guard dogs. They are cheerful and amusing dogs that are obedient to their masters. They like to spend their time with their family and are eager to please them. These cute and amusing dogs like to get attention and love to be loved. The Lha-Cockers are full of energy and need to be doing something most of the time. They will need fair amount of physical activities to ward off undesirable behavior which can happen as a result of lack of necessary physical activities. They are very good guard dogs as well as companion and family dogs.
Care
These dogs require average to frequent grooming and brushing to keep their coat free of tangles and dirt.
Training
The Lha-Cockers are obedient and eager to please dogs and with the intelligence of Lhasa Apso, they respond well to motivational training. They are easy to train dogs.
Activity
The Lha-Cockers are high energy dogs and need exercise and other playing and running activities to relieve their excess energy. They like to run and play besides going for long daily walks regularly.
