The resultant breed combination of the genes of a Miniature Pinscher and the Maltese is a hybrid Malti-Pin. It is otherwise known as a designer breed that aims to produce a better breed. Generally speaking, the physical appearance of this pet showed the nice sharing of looks of the two origins. Sometimes, it forms the Maltese appearance on the upper part and a leg of the Min-Pin.
The colors that is possible to occur in this animal includes a black with rust markings, chocolate with tan red, stag red colors from the Min-Pin and a single coat that is white or light ivory from the Maltese. However, these colors may change as some of the coat will shed off and eventually result to a shift in color.
The coat's quality of the two pure breeds differ in appearance. Either of them may dominate. It could be a coat that sticks strongly to the body with a hard yet smooth consistency that is really short or a long soft coat like that of the Maltese.
Combining both their personalities will produce an energetic, fearless, fun-loving and smart dog. They are both faithful and loving to their masters and goes well with others as long as training is excellently done. In conclusion, it is a pet that is suited to be called a great companion for the family.
It is a breed that has to be cared well. Its hair must be attended to everyday by combing or brushing. And since it has a tendency to shed off, you might need the use of a damp cloth to remove the loose hair. They must also be kept dry after bathing to prevent infection and staining. Moreover, cleaning its ears and eyes regularly will guard your pet against illnesses.
Whatever you wish your dog to be, depends on how you educate them. They will end up demanding and aggressive if you spoil them. But if you are firm on its training and encourage socialization when they are still young, you will be able to witness how these cute dogs follow your command and grasp your instructions.
Since this dog is full of vigor, many owners notice their desire to move around within the house. But despite their activity indoor, they still need to be taken out of the house for a walk to fulfill its nature. You need to find time to let it express itself outside and play around. Although, you must secure that your fence is high enough to guard its desire to see what is out there.
