Breed Details

General

The Masti-Bull is a cross between a Bulldog and a Mastiff purebreds. They are very athletic and agile dogs. They are extremely intelligent, confident and docile. They are good with all family but need an owner who displays proper pack leader qualities. A week or submissive owner will induce dominant behavior in these dogs and they will try to take over the pack leader role.

These dogs are very protective of their family. They are loyal, brave and fearless. They love to be around their owner and want an owner who is completely dominant.

These dogs are very good with children and will make excellent guard dogs as well as family pets.

Color

They are found in black brindle. Other colors include black, blue, tawny and red.

Coat

They have short and fine coat that is easy to groom.

Personality

The Masti-Bull dogs are very docile, extremely intelligent and friendly to their family. They are very gentle and affectionate with children. These dogs are family oriented and love to be around their owners most of the time. They are loyal and courageous dogs that protect their family to the end. They are very alert dogs and will be ready to protect their family if they sense any threat. These dogs can get along well with other dogs if proper socialization and obedience training is provided from puppyhood. They do not like to be left alone and can become destructive out of boredom. These dogs are not recommended for first time owners or for owners who can not establish their dominance over these dogs. They need fair amount of physical and mental activities to remain fit and relieve excess energy. These dogs make excellent protection dogs and very good family dogs.

Care

Caring a dog entails a lot of things. One of which is the caring of its coat. Although it can be done in a swift, simply by combing it with a brush with a firm bristle and wiping ii with a chamois to make it look glossier. Just make sure you clean and dry any creases to prevent infection.

Training

Training this breed may not be that easy because they are unsure at times and they certainly follow pack leaders. Thus, if you train this breed type, you have to project a pack leader status to get their loyalty and obedience to your command. You have to take a lead in every activity and this must be consistently done to be successful in the training.

Activity

Lots of physical activities are must for these dogs and lack of it may trigger destructive behaviour in these dogs. The bulldog is sensibly an indoor type mixed with mastiff which can also tolerate inside. But still it needs to exercise its legs through a play. And provide it with happiness as a dog, you may expose them in a yard, even a small area will do.
