Breed Details

General

The Papitese dog is a hybrid mix of the Papillon and Maltese breeds. Sometimes called the Maltillon, they are very friendly, sweet and wonderful to have around. This breed picked up the color of the Papillon and the Maltese' long coat.

Color

The Papitese breed usually comes in black, brown or white in color. Their color usually changes as they grow.

Coat

The breed's coat is soft and long which requires brushing at least 3-4 times a week.

Personality

This breed has a very sweet and wonderful nature as well as very friendly. As playful as they can be, they are easily trainable because they are very eager owner pleasers.

Care

Regular brushing of the coat should be done to maintain the coat's beauty. Grooming should also be done on a religious basis to keep a healthy hygiene.

Training

The breed enjoys pleasing the owner which makes them easy to train. As usual, training should be done consistently and with a lot of patience.

Activity

The Papitese will need regular walks to maintain being healthy and balanced. Play activities with the family is mostly can be a treat to this breed.
