The Peke-A-Tese can vary in colors. Usually gold/white or black/white while some can be completely white.

The breed's coat is usually thick, long and straight that needs brushing and combing daily to avoid matting or tangling. They shed very lightly to none which makes them hypo-allergenic dogs - perfect for families with allergy issues.
Personality
This breed has the same temperament of both the Pekingese and Maltese breeds. They are very loyal and protective little dogs in nature. Playful, intelligent and loves to learn tricks they make great watchdogs.
Care
The Peke-A-Tese need their regular grooming to keep their hygiene on top shape. Keep their face, eyes and ears clean always to avoid staining especially for white coated dogs.
Training
The breed can be very opinionated which could be a challenge when training. As with any smaller dog, they can also be difficult to housebreak. Socialization should be made a part of their training early in their lives to ensure they do well with children and other pets when they reach their adulthood.
Activity
The Peke-A-Tese make wonderful dogs for apartment or small space living as they are usually not too active when indoors. But they still need their dose of daily walks to satisfy their primal instinct to sniff and walk. These activities keep them balanced and happy dogs.
