General
The Peke-Italian dog breeds are hybrid dogs. They are developed from half Pekingese and half Italian Greyhound breeds. They are affectionate and a great companion with kids as long as the humans around them shows strong leadership skills.
Color
These dog's color can vary from different colors but it will greatly depend on their predecessors'.
Coat
The breed's coat can be longer than it's Italian Greyhound predecessor or shorter than the Pekingese. Brushing or combing them regularly to keep them manageable and good looking.
Personality
These dogs are intelligent, affectionate and enjoys pleasing their owners. They make wonderful companions as long as their humans have great leadership skills. Keep them balanced and happy to avoid behavioral issues while keeping the household stable.
Care
The Peke-Italian's health, as with any mixed breed dogs, need to be looked up from their parents for health issues that should be watched out for. Grooming should be easy depending on the length of the coat. Bathing and dry-shampooing on when necessary.
Training
The breed is very bright and loves to please their owners which makes them easy to train. As with any small dog, housebreaking can become a challenge. Make sure that they do not develop Small Dog Syndrome where the dog believes he is the pack leader as this may cause unwanted behavior in the future.
Activity
The Peke-Italian dogs need their daily walks to keep them happy and balanced dogs. Being the small dogs that they are, they are perfect for apartment or small space living. They can be very fast and be able to climb on things.
