Saint Dane are cross breeds from Saint Bernard and Great Dane, also known as Bernadane. They make a good watchdog. They are gentle, polite and especially protective with the house.
Saint Dane varies in different colors. At times, they get it from their Saint Bernard parent having a tan, red in various shades and patches in various combinations. Or at times, they get it from their Great Dane parent having different variations of coat colors depending as to what type of Dane it is, whether a brindle, fawn, blue, black or harlequin Dane.
Saint Dane have a silky, short-haired coat.
Saint Danes are loyal, affectionate and playful dogs. They get along well with children and other pets in the house, which makes them a good family dog. And because of their size and are protective, they would make a good watchdog.
Saint Danes does does not give you much trouble in caring. Daily brushing of the coat should be sufficient. Bathing should be done when necessary, using a mild soap.
The Saint Dane is a large dog. Early obedience training and early socialization should be taken. It has to be shown not to lean against people, especially children. Going out leashed in public are recommended.
Saint Dane needs extreme exercise. One, regular, long walk are advised.
