Breed Details
General
The ShiChi is a cross breed between Chihuahua and a Shih Tzu. These small dogs make a great lap dog. They love to be held, are very cuddly and adorable.
Color
The ShiChi comes in white solid color with brown patches on their body. They also come in colors brown, tan to cream and black, at times in combinations with white markings.
Coat
The ShiChi has a medium to long, straight coat.
Personality
ShiChi is quite the aggressive type of dog. They tend to be protective and loves to bark whenever they hear a mysterious noise or strangers. They are loveable, affectionate and friendly.
Care
The ShiChi sheds low to none. Brushing and grooming once a week and bathing once a month is still advised. Brushing should be done regularly to remove dead fur and maintain the coat.
Training
Early obedience training of ShiChi is recommended. Housebreaking might be a problem at times and needs much attention and care. However, training them will not be a problem when training is done with firmness, patience, proper guidance and by rewarding them with good behavior.
Activity
The ShiChi is a playful and needs average exercise dog. Playing, running around and trips to parks should suffice the exercises they needed.
