General
Silkshunds are cross breeds between Dachshund and Silky Terrier. These breeds are playful, fun-loving, affectionate, and friendly. They are alert and alarms their owners if they sound something mysterious around the perimeter, stray dogs or strangers around. Despite their size, they can be great barkers.
Color
Silkshund comes in combinations of brown, cream, and tan and sometimes with white and black to red-brown markings on their body, ears and head.
Coat
The Silkshund has a soft, straight to wavy, silky coat which resembles to hair.
Personality
Silkshunds have a friendly personality that makes them a wonderful family dog. They are typically people friendly and and with other dogs and pets they have been raised with.
Care
Silkshunds moderately shed and they needs regular brushing of coat to remove dead hair from time to time. Bathing once a month using a mild soap to refrain damaging of hair and trimming is recommended to keep these breeds from looking great.
Training
The Silkshund is known to be smart. They have a moderate trainability level. Starting their obedience training and socialization at a young age would be be better for these dogs.
Activity
Silkshunds are playful, enthusiastic dogs. They can be not so energetic at times and does not require much exercise. They are very friendly and loves being with the company of their owners.
