General
The Silky Tzu is a very affectionate, lively, fun-loving and friendly dog. They are highly playful and enjoys when they have plenty of toys and loves when they get new ones. They make a great companion and family dog.
Color
Silky Tzu comes in different variations but mostly are in combinations of brown, black and white, cream and red-brown.
Coat
Silky Tzu has a thick, double layered, silky coat. Their coat can be grown long if preferred by their owners, but mostly comes with an inch long hair which gives them the slightly wavy, ruggedly good looking appearance.
Personality
The Silky Tzu has a very playful and adorable personality which everybody loves. They are known to be people friendly and even gets a good relationship with other dogs and pets raised together with them.
Care
The Silky Tzu requires frequent brushing and cleaning of ears. Some owners preferred to grow their hair long and gives them regular trimming from time to time. They should be bathed when necessary and grooming them twice a week will keep their coat good looking. These breeds are prone to eyes and ears and ears infection which requires frequent cleaning of their eyes and ears. Some have troubles with respiratory problems, like heavy breathing, making noises and snoring. They also have sensitive stomachs so feeding them requires great attention.
Training
The Silky Tzu is a averagely intelligent dogs and so easy to train. The training does not need to be harsh and strict, all they need is a proper training with firmness, fairness, consistency, patience and a couple of repetition.
Activity
These Silky Tzu breeds does not really need much exercise, a daily half an hour walk would be fine for them. However these dogs are averagely energetic and mostly burn them off by playing. Because of their small size, they make perfect for apartments and saves the hassle for an extra room. They are great indoors but would appreciate to have trips outdoors.
