Soft Coated Golden, also known as Golden Wheatie or Soft Coated Golden Retriever, is a charming and lovely dog. They are smart and highly people friendly. They loves to play with children which makes them a wonderful family dog.

Color

The Soft Coated Golden usually comes in black when still a puppy but changes into a lighter color as they grow.

Coat

The coat of a Soft Coated Golden can be straight to wavy, stiff and tough but not coarse, rather fluffy and hypoallergenic.

Personality

Soft Coated Goldens are playful and loves people. They are high friendly with the family, but not so with dogs. They are active and can be a great watchdog with their size. They are smart and easy to train and most especially extremely affectionate breeds. They are very charming and loves when they become the center of attention.

Care

Soft Coated Goldens are low shedding breeds to none. Brushing and grooming them occasionally will always keep their coat good looking. Bathing should be done using mild soap only when necessary, not to damage their coat and skin.

Training

Soft Coated Goldens are highly intelligent dogs. They are very easy to train dogs. Training these dogs need not to be harsh and strict, rather they can be fair, firm and consistent.

Activity

The Soft Coated Golden is a very playful breed, highly energetic and lively. They will need above average exercise. They will need plenty of exercise to burn off their energies.
