These large dogs are barkers. They make good watchdog with their size and their talents. They are great with agility, hunting, retrieving, tracking and can even be taught tricks and competitive obedience. This breed is very smart and they can easily be trained.
Color
Spangold Retrievers often in gold to brownish and white, some may come in black with white spots in their chest and paws.

Activity
The Spangold Retriever will need an above average exercise, so giving them a 2-3 hours workout daily would be good for them. They are highly energetic and very playful. These large dogs will require a big space to run around and play. Giving them outdoor access would be a bonus for them. Under exercised Spangold might develop anxiety and depression.
