General

The Thornburg Feist is a small to medium size Feist dog that is considered to be excellent hunter of small game, specially squirrels.

Thornburd Feists are small, short-coated dogs with long legs and a pointed (snipy) nose. The ears set high on the head and are button, erect, or short hang ears. Traditionally the tail is a natural bobtail or docked.

Color

They have a variety of colors but are mainly a light brown, black, and white.

Their coat is short and smooth.

Personality

The Thornburg Feist dogs are lively, intelligent and sweet-natured dogs that are loving and affectionate to the whole family and get along very well with children. Thornburg Feists are curious, intelligent and physically active dogs which are suited for hunting and as companion dogs. They are very protective around the people they know best. Mainly used as a squirrel dog, the Thornburg Feist is also good at hunting raccoons and tracking larger game.[citation needed]

Activity

The Thornburg Feist dogs are very lively and active dogs and would need ample amount of exercise. They can live inside an apartment as long as the owner is ready to take the dog on daily walks.
