General
The Yorkie-Ton is a designer dog cross between the Coton de Tulear and Yorkshire Terrier. They are very friendly, playful, energetic and lovable dogs. They loves being the center of attention and enjoys being cuddled which makes them a great lap dog. These dogs makes a good companion and a great family dog.
Color
Yorkie-Tons comes in combinations of different colors but are usually dominant in black with white, brown and tan markings on their chest, feet and face.
Coat
Yorkie-Tons have a long, silky and lustrous coat. It can be cottony and fluffy at times, rather than silky, which they get from their coton de tulear parent.
Personality
These breeds are smart, lovable, energetic and has a pleasing personality that everybody loves. They love it when they get the attention they want and hates when they are left alone at home for long hours. They are very charming, fun and highly sociable with people and even with other dogs.
Care
The Yorkie-Tons sheds little to none and needs only a little space with their size. Their long hair requires daily brushing and grooming to maintain their good-looking coat and prevent matting. Bathing should be done more often to keep them clean and excess har from their ears and feet should be removed.
Training
Yorkie-Tons are moderately smart dogs. Training these type of dogs needs to be firm, fair, consistent and a lot of patience and repetition. They are very adorable and charming which sometimes get in their way during the training. Strict and harsh training won't work with these dogs, they may even get more stubborn if done so.
Activity
The Yorkie-Tons are highly energetic and playful breeds. They will require average exercises, like daily walks and run around the yard. They are perfect for apartments and small house, still giving them access to a large yard would be a bonus or them. They loves playing catch and wrestles with other dogs.
