Nasal polyps are benign tumors that can grow in your dog’s nasal passages. They are protruding pink polypoid growths of benign nature that arise from the mucous membranes – the moist tissue lining the nose. Nasal polyps are rare in dogs. The symptoms associated with this condition can mimic to illness but do not respond to antibiotics.
Common symptoms associated with the disease include:
Nasal congestion
Nasal discharge that is unresponsive to antibiotics
Sneezing
Decreased nasal airflow
Noisy breathing, especially when inhaling
