Bladder Inflammation with Polyps in Dogs

Polypoid cystitis is a term used to described a chronically inflamed and infected urinary bladder. Polypoid protrusions scattered over the surface of the bladder can lead to ulcers in the lining of the urinary bladder, occasional causing blood in the urine. Common symptoms would include blood in the urine, frequent urination, difficulty urinating, urethral obstruction from polyps, anorexia and recurrent urinary tract infections.
