Cachexia or weight loss is the condition in which affected dogs loose weight alarmingly. Weight loss becomes alarming when the animal has lost ten percent of its normal body weight ( and when it is not due to fluid loss).
Causes of weight loss are numerous. It can be due to a chronic disease. It is important to diagnos underlying cause and severity of the condition which is causing this weight loss.
