Nasal Discharge

The dog has a running nose. Some amount of nasal discharge is normal specially with sneezing but if it is severe or chronic then look for if this discharge is watery, thick and mucus-like, or has pus or blood in it. Nasal discharge usually occurs due to irritation of the nasal mucosa due to infectious, chemical, or inflammatory objects. It may also be from a foreign object that has become lodged in the nose or due to conditions of the ear.
